Form coming this evening!
Welcome to the CDIRF Corona Virus Resident Support micro-site, here, over the course of this evening, you will see much more information (the top menu will change and the layout will look a little different. If you have any enquiries or you are struggling for food, heating and hot water, please either complete the general contact form (this sends us an Email), you can send an Email as normal to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or you can telephone us on the number at the top of this website (this is not the same number as Avro Hollows' Estate Office).
If you get our voicemail facility, please leave a voicemail and we will call you back as soon as we can (including out of hours - please say how late in the evening that you are happy to receive calls). Please use any option number on our phone line for assistance until we have set up a separate option (hopefully this evening). Calls back will be from a witheld number. We are extending the CDIRF telephone line opening hours wherever possible so you can safely ignore the opening times unless you get transferred straight to a voicemail facility. This will all be tidied up hopefully tonight.
The Emergency Community Shopping Support Programme Form is delayed - please accept our apologies about this but we hope to have this online late this evening. This is largely because of the mass mail-out being needed (you should have ALL received a letter now - apologies if it was not brilliant quality as the printhead seriously needed taking apart and cleaning after 2,300 pages were printed) and also because we have been making contact with a number of organisations to help us to deliver the Emergency Community Support Programme more widely and also to hopefully arrange contingency cover measures in case we become ill.
If anyone wants to offer practical help, please do get in touch. Money can only be handled by the Emergency Community Shopping Support Programme coordinator, however so please do not take offence on this absolutely steadfast rule but it is forseeable that help with picking items and help loading our vehicle would be useful. In order to cover everyone, only the Emergency Community Shopping Support Programme Coordinator will be undertaking the deliveries to flats and dealing with paperwork.
If you do end up needing help from the programme, please, under NO circumstances open your door to us and keep it locked. This is to help us avoid catching the virus from you and then not being able to help others. Thanks. Please bear with us and we will get this micro-site up and running for you, the Emergency Community Shopping Programme form will not be immediately functional when you see it - this will be marked by "DO NOT USE" until we have tested it and know that it works properly. During this time, you can call us, complete our contact forms or Email us for assistance though.
We have been asked that if anybody has symptoms, please let the Avro Hollows' TMO Office know on 0161 6825454 - so that they can let Contractors know. You can also Email them - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
We are in talks with Switch 2 at the moment, they will be sending Contractors out as normal but they ask that you let them know if you have symptoms first of a flu or cold (there is no difference between these and the Corona Virus). We need to speak still to Morgan Sindall about emergency credit arrangements for those also requiring assistance from the Foodbank and this is a priority but will span into tomorrow. We will be absolutely transparent about any cooperation measures we put in place with Avro Hollows' TMO, Northwards' Housing and Manchester City Council and put anything contraversial to a vote on our forum. Although we are offering support to all, including residents who are not members and also ineligible for membership, living on the Croydon Drive Estate, those ineligible cannot register on our forum as per the standard terms. They can still call us or complete our contact forms and Emergency Community Shopping Scheme form for assistance though. If you are eligible, and you haven't yet registered, please phone us or complete the contact form on this website.
.Thanks again for your patience.
